me too i loved Duran Duran, Spandau, Japan, Visage, and all them other bands from the 80's....i lived in Oxford at the time i and i loved seeing all the different styles people wore...i was a true new romantic with the big hair and the wacky make-up...loved it....

I wore neon clothes and crimped my hair and then sprayed a can of Aqua net hairspray on it. Extra hold!!!!!!!!! And I was a big Prince fan. Every time i hear something off "Purple Rain" it takes me back to 1984.

I LOVED the hair bands!! I had HUGE HUGE hair LMFAO and all those huge earrings and colored socks, and KEDS! I always wanted a crimper but my mom wouldn't buy me one :(

My brothers wore parachute pants, I remember them SO well!

Records, my brothers had tons of records and they'd threaten me if I touched them....even though I DID touch them!

The summer of 1988- freshly graduated from high school, on the way to college and adulthood, dating my future, and still husband, SERIOUSLY big hair, oversized shirts with wide belts and skinny leggings, and the music of the 80's. Definitely the music.
