Oh the old version of," what if our whole universe in nothing more than one cell of the body of a giagantic lifeform" question. I do think that is exactly what the situation is. We, as humans, think that we're the universal top of the food chain, and we may be, in this universe, but this universe is very small in the grander scheme of things. Think us as the microscopic bacteria consuming the pile of dog poop in your back yard. We'll probably never be able to consume it all, because we'll be wiped out before it's gone. If we are able to consume it all, we'll have to move to another pile, or die. Nonetheless we are so infantile in our understanding of the world beyond our little pile in the backyard that we can't possibily comprehend the endless variables out there beyond the backyard. I think that we, as the human race, are far to arrogant. Although technology is increasing at asounding rate I don't think we'll survive in the long run, because the huge leap it would take to make a successful move to another inhabitable planet is far beyond what we're prepared for. That kind of successful move would involve finding a planet that has the same exact conditions as we have here on earth. The odds of finding that, even in the next 1000 years are astronomical, and even if we did find it, imagine what it would take to put enough people and supplies there to populate a new planet. Also if we can survive there (as a relativley new lifeform, in the big picture) what about the other inhabitants that have already been there since their debut as a species.
As for the whole new color wheel theory. Scientists have already figured out the potential of our color recognition capability. That's how the color wheel was invented. We have a limited number of cones and rods(inner workings of the eyeball) that differentiate colors that are visible to us.
I'd hate to think this way on a daily basis, because then one would start to think, "why bother, if we're just some insignificant speck". The truth is we can only do what we're capable of, so make the best of it.

As far the colours are concerned, we are only aware of the colours that we know because they are the way the brain reacts to certain frequencies of electromagnetic radiation (light). So red is the brain just saying that this particular area reflects light waves with a frequency of around 700 nanometers. Therefore you could get an entirely different colour wheel by changing the frequencies that you are aware of.

I would think that the solar system is a miniature representative of an atom!! the sun being the nucleus and the planets the electrons or positrons-if any. Dalton was unable to split it further than that. Einstein et al were able to get the photons the quanta.
