If it is soft and squishy, it could be an abscess. Soak it good with a steaming hot wash cloth and see if you can find an opening where there might be a wound. If there is one, using the wash cloth, squeeze out the puss, repeating as often as necessary until it begins to scab up!

Find an emergency vet. This could be really serious or just a calcium deposit. I wouldn't take the chance and find out it's too late.

is it itchy at all? a little lump could be anything really. I wouldn't worry about it if you cant see the vet for the week. Just keep a close eye on it.

It could possibly demodex?

...and...why do you have your puppy on calcium. I never heard of that. Usually they put the mom on calcium...not the puppies

GO or call TO YOUR BREEDER'S HOUSE!!!!!!! if you bought a pet store/puppymill/backyard breeder dog.. well then,, you are on your own-- why on earth do you have him on calcium?? NO NEED FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! feed a high quality dry kibble

it could be a spider bite or mosquito bite. our black lab boxer mix had one in his ear and it was big and puffy but it finally went away after a month or so. thats the only thing i can think of. our dog didn't mind us touching it either.

My dog had this but it was on his elbow and it was sist but it was black and cracked. But I knew another dog with a pinkish one on his toe and it doesn't bother him it's just a mole.

Take it to the vet though and just see which one it is.

Oh, hunny it could be a number of things.

If he is eating well, resting, playing and seems to be otherwise normal....there is no rush til your vet gets in.

He doesn't need to be on calcium.

Becareful with that, if he gets too much...it can "shut off" the gland that naturally produces it.

It could be a benign tumor, which is nothing really.

You're vet will take it off.

But, if youre giving him him Calcium supplements...I'd bet this is the cause.

Good Luck.
