Popular Kids?

Is it just me or does everyone else hate them? I used to be friends with them in 8th grade, now as an 11th grader i hate them all. They aren't true friends they only are set out to please each other and think they are better then everyone else. I find myself hanging out with the 'social rejects', you know, the kids that dye their hair pink and scream out GIVE ME SOME CORN! Are these popular kids always like this, or will they change as they grow up.

Some change, some won't. It depends on a lot of things. College often comes as quite a shocker to the worst of the popular kids. With so many people, just being the best dressed and cutest isn't enough any more, they have to have decent personalities to keep a hold on their elite status. The ones who were jackholes often find themselves on the outside looking in.

Then too, sometimes you bump into a former popular person to discover that, while they're now fat, forty, and frumpy, they still act like they're the head cheerleader. That can be quite amusing when it happens, lol!

yea i used to be apart of cliques that are so called "popular", but now i regret it.

Most of the girls in the clique were out to get each other, to better themselves.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm now 30 years old, but I hated junior high and high school because of the popularity contest. Those people will soon be "put in their place" and will learn a valuable lesson, trust me.

Unfortunately most of them do not change they turn into SUV driving soccer moms it sucks and I am 32 what's up with these snotty bitches?

in college the kids who were popular in high school may suffer from the "big dog on campus" syndrom. They will think they are the best,but find out that there are really a ton of people just like them or better. It will crush them and they will change.

Some never change though. Some will always be stuck up

Time will only tell is all I can provide to help you. I've seen many of the popular kids go on to be great successes; but then again- that may have something to do with "daddy" and "mommy" and their MONEY? I think honestly; many of them might have multiple marriages bc they just cannot seem to understand that marriage is give and take; not just take, take, take.

Those are just my opinions. I HEREIN SUBMIT MY APOLOGIES THAT I CANNOT BACK THOSE UP WITH STATISTICS AND OTHER PROOFS....I am sorry. I didn't attend my 10 yr high school reunion (if there even was one?) so I cannot tell u from personal experience either; it's too bad that you have to step on people on your way to the top--and that is how I always viewed my school's popular kids.

Just ignore them~ praying for them works too, but I didn't know that way back in 1992-96. :*(
